HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Most people’s New Years Resolution is to “eat healthier” or loose weight. Just like most people, I too need to live a healthier lifestyle. Due to a current health condition, I recently started trying to eat more fruits and vegetables! I began experimenting with smoothies and “Acai bowls”. In this post, I will be providing you with a recipe for one of my simple go-to “Smoothie Cups”. It is delicious and super easy to make! Before making this recipe, please make sure that you do not have any allergies to the below listed ingredients! You can always substitute ingredients if needed. Additionally, if you do not like vegetables in your smoothies (like my husband), you can always just make it a pineapple-strawberry smoothie and not add the spinach!

Ingredients:

Spinach, Pineapple, Strawberry Smoothie in a NutriBullet

Direction:

1. Blend the spinach, pineapples, and about 5 whole strawberries in a blender. I use the NutriBullet.

2. Pour the blended mixture into a cup, glass or bowl.

3. Prepare the toppings:

Strawberries cut in half

granola, chia seeds, honey

4. Add the toppings on top of the blended mixture starting with the granola. Add about 3 tablespoons of the granola. Then add the cut up fresh strawberries on top of the granola. Place about 1 tablespoon of the Chia Seeds on top of the strawberries. Lastly, top it off with a small drizzle of honey.
