When I first started noticing balloon puff sleeves, I was a bit confused. I thought: “Is this a fashion trend that comes back and quickly disappears again?” However, as time went on, more and more designers began creating balloon puff sleeve items. I quickly figured this trend is here to stay, for a bit longer than expected! And I am most definitely not mad about it! I actually really like a nice classic puff sleeve top. It is a statement top that makes any outfit appear classy and fun!
In this post, I will be showing you 2 ways I style my classic black balloon puff sleeve top. One way with blue denim and another way with black denim.
Black Top With Blue Denim
Outfit Details
I purchased the black balloon puff sleeve top at a local Burlington store; however, I am linking a very similar option here from Lulus. In this first outfit, I paired the top with light blue skinny ankle jeans and black booties. Both the jeans and booties are also from Burlington but I am linking similar jeans from Abercrombie and classic black booties from Express.
Accessories
I accessorized this outfit with gold “Girl Boss” statement hoop earrings from Uncommon James. They are such a great statement piece and every girl boss deserves these earrings! They go well with all types of outfits, dressy or casual. For the handbag, I went with a classy black convertible shoulder/crossbody handbag from Kate Spade. This handbag is sold out however, I am linking similar ones from Kate Spade, Tory Burch, and Rebecca Minkoff. These are all beautiful, classy, and good priced designer handbags that are must-haves! They all remind me of the Chanel handbags but much more affordable!
Black Top With Black Denim
Outfit Details
The other way I style the black balloon puff sleeve top is with black denim. My new black denim are the high waisted super skinny Abercrombie jeans. I purchased the Curve Love in size 6 and after wearing them a couple times, they did stretch a bit so I wish I sized 1 size down and purchased a size 4 instead. Otherwise, they are super comfortable! I am linking a few other black denim options as well! I love the Curvy Jeggings from American Eagle! Super high waisted and super comfortable, especially for curvy ladies like me!
Accessories
I accessorized this all black outfit with my two-tone Movado watch, that I love so much! It is perfect to wear with both gold and silver jewelry so I wear it ALL THE TIME! It was one of the best purchases I made, for sure. I also added a gold bracelet that is from Amazon. It looks similar to the Cartier Love bracelet but a MUCH MUCH more affordable option! Lastly, I added a woven dark brown belt. I think the dark brown matches nicely with the all black outfit!
