Hello my past visitors and my new readers. If you are new here, welcome! Glad you stumbled upon this page and are taking some time out of your busy day to read my blog post. When you are finished with reading this post, make sure to check out some of my older posts!
This post will be a bit different from my previous ones. I asked my Instagram friends recently if they would like me to write a blog post about my current Fall home decor style; 90% voted yes so here we are! If you do not follow me on Instagram, you can do so @mariolamagdalena .
We are already almost halfway through the Fall season and I figured I would share with you my current fall home decor before it is time to start decorating for Christmas! This year for fall decor, I decided to go with an Earthy color scheme. I wanted something different from the typical red/orange/yellow color scheme that you see everywhere when Autumn approaches.
I created this board to give you a visual of the Fall Earthy color scheme that I was envisioning when starting my fall decorations.

I did not want to overwhelm the space with decorations as our living room is not that large. I like to keep it light, clean, and clutter free. As the saying goes: “less is more”. In a relatively small space, I believe that saying is certainly very accurate!
For decorations, I added ivory pillows and light green pillows on the chaise and the love seat. I neatly placed the green throw blanket at the end of the chaise sofa. On the black accent chair, I placed one of the ivory pillows and a small decorative pillow with blue and green pumpkins. I also added an ivory area rug underneath the accent chair to match the pillow. If you like any of the items featured, or similar options, they are linked below.
On top of our West Elm coffee table I placed a simple clear vase with some artificial eucalyptus. I usually like to style our coffee table with a book and some artificial flowers that match the overall decor theme. This time, I used the “Wild at Home” book I received as a gift from one of my best friends. She knows how much I love plants, especially my Ficus Tree named Christine! You can see her in my living room photo above. She is proudly standing in the corner, behind the chaise sofa.
On the side table, I placed an artificial eucalyptus wreath and added an ivory lantern in the middle of it. This can also be used as a dining room table centerpiece!
To make our living room smell amazing, I use the Sandalwood and Tonka Wood diffuser and candles. This gives off the perfect amount of fragrance in our living room!
Lastly, I placed a few decorations in our dining room to match the overall Fall home decor theme. I added a candle, a “Give Thanks” sign, an artificial plant and some real plants.
