WOW! Where did the time go?! We are less than 10 days away from Christmas and I just noticed that I did not do a post about how I decorated my house for Christmas this year. In this blog post, I will be mostly showing you images of my living room and dining room home decor. Unfortunately, many of the items I used for my decor this year, I purchased last year therefore I am linking mostly similar options. Feel free to comment below with any questions!
For my theme this year, I went with classic, clean, and simple decor. I used the colors gold/beige, silver/gray, and white/off-white.

Christmas Tree
I used our pre-lit flocked Christmas tree. It already has some attached pine cones on it, however; I decided to add a few more pine cone ornaments. Additionally, I decorated the tree with gold and silver ornaments as well as gold and silver poinsettia flowers. Underneath the tree I added a silver tree skirt. On the accent chair next to the Christmas tree, I added a decorative “Merry Christmas” pillow that matches the overall theme.
Fireplace Mantel
We recently had our fireplace mantel re-done by the amazing woodworking company: Kurnat Woodworking. The team did a fabulous job with the whole process; designing and custom building our dream fireplace mantel. I was so excited that they were able to have it finished a few weeks before Christmas so that I could have it decorated in time for Christmas! I placed a flocked garland on top of the mantel that matched the tree. I also added 2 gold/beige reindeers on each side of the mantel and a beautiful nativity set in the middle. Next to the fireplace, I added a “Joy Love Peace” sign and 2 off-white lanterns.
Couch and Coffee Table
I placed Christmas decorative pillows, to match the gold/silver/white decor theme, on the couch and the chaise lounge. I neatly placed a white/beige/gray throw blanket at the end of the chaise lounge. I also added a small pinecone centerpiece on my coffee table. I placed it on top of a small Chanel hardcover book to add a designer touch. On the side tables, I added a “Joy” sign and my favorite candle/diffuser. I also placed 2 beautiful handmade ornaments that were created by my best friend’s mom. If you like the handmade ornaments, you can email me to inquire about an order for next Christmas (mariolamagdalenablog@gmail.com).
Dining Room
For decorations in the dining room, I just kept it simple. On the table, I placed a gray table runner and in the middle a centerpiece with pinecones and greenery. On our small china cabinet, I placed a sleigh with pinecones inside of it, some candles and a letter board sign stating “Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2021”!
Hope you enjoyed this blog post about my Christmas home decor!
