Lately, I have been creating and eating various smoothies. The other day, I had 1 banana left and saw that it was on the verge of going bad soon so I decided to make a spinach, pineapple, and banana smoothie. I have never been a huge fan of eating plain bananas. They are not my fruit of choice but, to my surprise, this smoothie was actually so delicious! Before making this recipe, please make sure that you do not have any allergies to the below listed ingredients! You can always substitute ingredients if needed.
Ingredients:
- Handful of Spinach
- 4-5 Pineapple pieces, cut in cubes
- 1 banana
- Small handful of blueberries (for topping)
- 3 tbsp of Granola (I use Mom’s Best Coconut Almond Granola)
- 1 tbsp of Chia Seeds (I use Nutiva Organic Black Chia Seeds)
- 1 tbsp of organic honey (I use similar to this)
Directions:
1. Blend the spinach, pineapples, and banana in a blender. I use the NutriBullet.
2. Pour the blended mixture into a cup, glass or bowl.
3. Prepare the toppings:
- Wash a small handful of blueberries and cut few small pineapple pieces.
- Granola, Chia Seeds, & Honey
4. Add the toppings on top of the blended mixture starting with the granola. Add about 3 tablespoons of the granola. Then add the cut up pineapples and blueberries on top of the granola. Place about 1 tablespoon of the Chia Seeds on top of the fruits. Lastly, top it off with a small drizzle of honey.
5. ENJOY this delicious spinach, pineapple & banana smoothie!!
